Virtual Appliance

This guide explains how to install and administer the BrainEngine Virtual Appliance using the Management REST API.

System Requirements

The BrainEngine Virtual Appliance operates on a hypervisor host system. For this version of the appliance, the following hypervisors are supported:

• VMware®

• VirtualBox

• AWS EC2

Host Requirements

• 4 Core CPU.

• 16 GiB + of Memory

• 60 GiB + of Storage

• Networking Requirements for Initial Setup:

  • 80 (http):

  • 443 (https): For SSL connections.

  • 22 (SSH): To allow you to SSH into your instance and configure it

Importing the Appliance

Please follow the instructions provided by the manufactures on how to import ova images.

Licensing

An offline license allows a user to apply a license without ever connecting an appliance to the external internet, even to initially license the appliance.
